Guidelines for Calculating Your Tier
Welcome to the detailed guide on understanding how to calculate your tier and weekly hours. Follow these steps and examples for clarity.
Step 1: Meeting the Minimum Requirements
Your eligibility for a specific tier is determined by whether you meet the minimum requirements for that tier, as set by the Management Department.
Step 2: Calculating Your Weekly Hours (Column 3)
A. Determine Total Hours Worked This Month:
To calculate your weekly hours, first sum up the total hours worked in the month across all weeks:
Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4, and (if applicable) Week 5.
For example, in a month, if you were allocated (for example):
Week 1: 5 hours
Week 2: 4 hours
Week 3: 5 hours
Week 4: 6 hours
Week 5: 7 hours
Total Hours Worked:
5+4+5+6+7=27 hours
B. Divide by 4.2 to Get Your Weekly Average:
The average number of weeks in a month throughout the year is 4.2 weeks. To calculate your weekly hours:
27÷4.2= 6.43 hours/week
Step 3: Determine Your Tier
Compare your weekly average to the tier table:
Example 1: Advanced Tier
Weekly Hours: 12 to 18 hours
If your weekly average is 6.43 hours, you do not meet the requirement for the Advanced Tier.
Example 2: Pro Tier
Weekly Hours: 18 to 24 hours
For example, in a month, if you were allocated (for example):
Week 1: 20 hours Week 2: 20 hours Week 3: 22 hours Week 4: 24 hours
Week 5: 3 hours
(Week 5 is the remaining 2-3 days by the end of the month, after the 4th week -if applicable-)
Total Hours Worked:
20+20+22+24+3=89 hours
Divide by 4.2:
89÷4.2=21.19 hours/week
Your weekly average falls between 18 and 24 hours, qualifying for the Pro Tier.
Additional Notes on Daily Hours (Column 3)
The daily hours listed under weekly hours in Column 3 are a reference average only.
Some days you may teach 5 hours, and others just 1 hour. These fluctuations do not affect your tier.
Do not use daily averages to calculate your tier.
Management Discretion
Your hours are allocated by the Management Department based on:
The quality of your sessions.
How creative and innovative you are in your teaching methods.
Whether you follow all guidelines and policies.
How satisfied and happy your students are with your teaching.
Much more (Personality, Professionalism, Experience, etc...)
If these areas fall below expectations, your allocated hours may be reduced, affecting your tier. Management may also decide not to assign additional hours, even if you wish to increase your tier.
Confidentiality
